When requesting a replacement key for your Volvo, we hope to make the process easy:

If a key or remote needs to be ordered for your Volvo, payment must be made in advance to initiate the ordering process. Please note, once a key or remote is programmed for your vehicle, the associated costs for this service are non-refundable.

What should I do if I've lost all keys to my Volvo?

To order a spare or replacement key, you must provide: original copy of vehicle registration or title.

 
Can I use an insurance verification form as proof of ownership?

No, an insurance verification form will not be accepted as proof of ownership.

 
Is payment required upfront for ordering a new key or remote?

Yes, we require payment upfront for any key or remote orders.

  
What happens if the key or remote doesn't work after programming?

Unfortunately, the programming fee is non-refundable once the key or remote has been programmed.

 
Can old or missing keys be deleted from my Volvo's system?

Most 2016 and newer Volvo models can have old or missing keys/remotes deleted. However, older Volvo models with metal keys and traditional ignition types cannot have old keys deleted.

 
How do I remotely start my Volvo?

Remote start functionality is available exclusively through the Volvo Cars app for all new Volvo vehicles. It cannot be activated through the key or remote.
